Publication of the new edition of PPA-Europe’s EPDs
Since 2013, PPA-Europe owns collective Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for sandwich panels and profiled sheets produced by its member companies. These EPDs are being updated every five years. The latest update has recently been finalised and a new edition complying with EN 15804+A2 has been published by the EPD programme operator IBU in July 2024. There are four association EPDs, dealing with:

double skin steel faced sandwich panels with a core made of mineral wool,
-
double skin steel faced sandwich panels with a core made of polyurethane,
-
profiled sheets made of steel for roof, wall, deck and ceiling constructions,
-
profiled sheets made of aluminium for roof, wall and ceiling constructions.
In the EPDs, average Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) values related to the environmental sustainability are being provided. These are based on input data submitted by the participating memeber companies, as listed on the second page of each EPD. Each of the four EPDs is accompanied by an annex which contain LCA values for further product variations.

EUROPEAN CONGRESS 2024
The 16th European congress on sandwich panel and profile technology will be held on 10th and 11th October 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey, organized by PPA-Europe and IFBS.
The 2024 annual congress will start on 10th October at 13:00 hrs. and will end on 11th October at 13:00 hrs. It will be followed by an optional visit of the sandwich panel factory of Assan Panel, which will last until 18:00 hrs. The congress venue is Hotel InterContinental Istanbul (Taksim Square).
As last year, this year’s congress will focuss again on sustainability and reports on innovations in the field of sandwich panel and profile technology. In addition to the presentation of new EU regulations, the renowned speakers will also discuss their practical implementation.

EUROPEAN CONGRESS 2023 – PRESENTATIONS
This year’s European Congress of PPA-Europe and IFBS took place on 26-27/10/2023. It has been a successful event with 110 participants. The speakers focused on sustainability aspects. The presentations are only available for the congress participants.
